Vehicle lettering services

Staten Island, New York

A full wrap isn't for every business. Lettering gets your name, number and services on the vehicle — clean, legible and legal — for a fraction of the cost, often the same week.

What lettering is

Cut vinyl or printed graphics applied directly to the painted vehicle: your business name, phone number, website, services, license numbers and logo. It's the workhorse of commercial vehicle branding — what most trucks on Staten Island are actually wearing.

The lettering the law asks for

Commercial vehicles in New York City are required to display the business name and address on both sides in legible lettering, and vehicles that fall under federal rules need a USDOT number as well. We do this every week — tell us what you drive and how it's registered and we'll tell you exactly what has to go on it, then make it look like it belongs there.

What's included

Layout and a proof, premium cast vinyl in any color (including printed full-color graphics), and installation in the shop. Most lettering jobs go from photo to finished in a few days.

Ask something else →
What has to be on my commercial vehicle?

In NYC, commercially registered vehicles need the business name and address displayed on both sides. If your vehicle falls under federal motor carrier rules, a USDOT number is required too. Tell us what you drive and we'll spell out exactly what applies.

How much does lettering cost compared to a wrap?

A lot less. Lettering is priced by the amount of vinyl and the complexity of the layout, not the size of the vehicle. Text us a photo and we'll give you a real number.

Can I match my existing trucks?

Yes. Send a photo of a current vehicle and we'll match the layout, colors and sizing so the fleet reads as one.

Does it come off?

Cleanly, when it's done right. Rebrand or sell the truck and the lettering comes off without damaging the paint.

Cut vinyl or printed — what's the difference?

Cut vinyl is solid-color film cut to your letter shapes: crisp, durable, great for names and numbers. Printed graphics handle gradients, photos and multi-color logos. Most trucks use a mix.
